Terms of service
These terms form an agreement between you and Storyshelvesjumble Learning Ltd covering your use of storyshelvesjumble.courses. Please read them before relying on anything published here.
1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing storyshelvesjumble.courses ("the Site") you agree to these terms of service. If you do not accept them, please stop using the Site. The Site is operated by Storyshelvesjumble Learning Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 14827391, registered office Unit 4, 27 Kelvin Row, Manchester, M1 5QT, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). We may amend these terms; the version published here at the time of your visit is the version that applies, and material changes will carry a revised "last updated" date.
2. What the Site is, and what it is not
The Site publishes general editorial guidance about planning, equipping and maintaining a home gym. It is information, not professional advice. In particular:
- It is not medical, physiotherapeutic or nutritional advice. Exercise carries risk of injury. Consult a suitably qualified clinician before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you have an injury, a health condition, or are pregnant or recovering.
- It is not structural, electrical or building advice. Fixing equipment to walls or ceilings, altering flooring and wiring circuits are matters for qualified professionals who have seen your property.
- It is not a substitute for manufacturer instructions. Always follow the assembly, load-rating, lubrication and inspection instructions supplied with your equipment. Where our guidance and a manufacturer's manual differ, follow the manual.
Specifications, dimensions and conventions described on the Site reflect general industry practice at the time of writing. Products vary. Verify every figure against the specification published by the supplier of the item you intend to buy.
3. Your obligations
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its hosting environment or any connected system;
- introduce malware, attempt denial-of-service attacks, or interfere with the Site's operation;
- scrape, mirror, harvest or systematically download content other than through ordinary browsing or a well-behaved search engine crawler that respects our robots directives;
- use the contact form to send spam, unlawful, abusive, defamatory or infringing content, or to submit another person's personal data without a lawful basis;
- misrepresent an association with us, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement.
You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit through the Site and for maintaining your own device security.
4. Intellectual property
All text, layout, code, graphics, the Storyshelvesjumble name and the logo mark are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may read, print and share reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use provided you credit storyshelvesjumble.courses and link to the source page. You may not republish substantial portions, use our content to train commercial machine-learning models, or present our material as your own, without prior written permission. Decorative photography is delivered by a third-party placeholder image service and is subject to that service's terms, not ours.
If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, contact [email protected] with the URL, a description of the work and the basis of your claim, and we will investigate promptly.
5. User submissions
When you send us a question, correction or suggestion, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to improve the Site, including publishing an anonymised summary of the question and our answer. You retain ownership of your submission. Do not send confidential information or material you are not free to share.
6. Third-party links
The Site links to external resources, such as regulator and browser-vendor pages, for your convenience. We do not control those sites, do not endorse their content, and accept no responsibility for their availability, accuracy or privacy practices. Review their own terms and policies.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the Site for maintenance or business reasons without notice, and we may add, edit or remove content at any time.
8. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: the Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content; we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings; and our total aggregate liability arising from your use of the Site is limited to one hundred pounds sterling (£100). You accept responsibility for how you apply information from the Site, including decisions about equipment purchases, installations and training.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.
9. Indemnity
If you are using the Site for business purposes, you agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Site.
10. Termination
We may restrict or terminate your access to the Site, without notice and at our discretion, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or that your use poses a security or legal risk. You may end this agreement at any time by ceasing to use the Site. Sections covering intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and disputes survive termination.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising out of them or your use of the Site are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or in the EEA you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, and you retain the protection of mandatory local consumer law. Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly; we aim to respond substantively within 14 days.
12. General
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, form the entire agreement between us regarding the Site. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor in the event of a reorganisation or sale of the business.
